~All grown-up~
The Nokia 7280 is no longer for sell! Haha! 'Cos i'm trading it tmr! For a......Mototrola Razr! Pink one! Haha! I know...that's so passe. But I'm only using it as a secondary phone to my O2...that is when I get my O2. I will call it my clubbing phone. 'Cos I will use it when I go clubbing as it is slim enough to put into my pocket without creating an unsightly bump!
I'm trading it at a lost. If I get the v3i version, it would be more even but I dun like it to be silver! If only there is black. Doesn't matter la. Anyway, the person I'm trading it with, gave me the phone I'm using it now at $0. So who am I to mind! And Nokia 7280 is damn hard to sell la...cos it's a girl phone and everyone noes that sms-ing is damn mafan and takes too long!
Anyway, that aside, do you think kids are growing up too fast? Or rather S'pore kids?
I was waiting for the bus to come home from work today and there was this 2 little girls with their mum. The older girl, 5 years of age, was having a conversation with her mum. This auntie beside them den commented to the mum about how smart and grown-up the girl was behaving.
It really is a nice change to see little kids behaving all grown-up instead of whining all the time. But dun u think it a bit like no childhood? I mean, behaving well and behaving grown-up is different. You dun have to behave grown-up to behave well.
And later in the bus, the same little girl was doing her maths homework. guess wat she's doing? Multiplication! Oh my gosh! I think I din even know such maths existed till I was in pri. 2! In my time, if u can get 74+26=100 right at the age of 5, everyone will say how smart you are already!
Now that I think about it. My cousin's son and daughter behaves really grown-up too! They dun speak like a kid at all. In fact, when me and him behaved silly in front of my neice, she asked me, "why do that uncle behaves like this?"
Maybe it's b'cos of us being more educated. So we educate our kids to behave and to learn as much as possible, that's why they become grown-up so fast.
Is it a good or bad thing? I can't judge. But I hope my kids will still be able to enjoy their childhood.
